  • Board Chairman Sean Summers and former Chairwoman Florence Seldin will not be on May 14 ballot.

  • On Tuesday March 31st at approximately 3:30pm, Truro Officer Steven Raneo conducted a motor vehicle stop of a Dodge Dakota pickup for speeding. The stop was conducted on Route 6 in the area of Pilgrim Heights. The driver was identified as Ronald Dunning. Dispatcher Martha Wheeler confirmed that Dunning had a active arrest warrant for a motor vehicle offense issued out of Quincy District Court. As a result Mr. Dunning was placed under arrest. During a motor vehicle inventory pursuant to departmental policy, a loaded 38 caliber pistol was located in the truck. Dunning does not have a License to Carry Firearms or a FID card. He was additionally charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Ammunition. At this time Mr Dunning was being held at the Truro Police Department on $1000 cash bail. He will be arraigned tomorrow in Orleans District Court.
